IOS 8 & Yosemite - Yee Haa!
Very happy with IOS 8, even on my "legacy" iPhone 5! Finally upgrading my MBP to Yosemite (OS 10.10), I so loved the Yosemite desktop pictures as they appeared on my MBP and my second monitor, that I made a slideshow of it.
While not all the Handoff features will work on my older MBP, among the very useful features I'm enjoying greatly is the SMS forwarding included in IOS 8.1 release. Before, iMessages on my Mac and iPad were woefully incomplete because not including the SMS messages with my "green bubble" non iMessage friends. Now, on your iPhone with IOS 8.1, go to Settings, then Messages, then touch Text Message Forwarding to choose the devices you want to SMS messages forwarded to. But do this in proximity to those Macs or iPads because a code will be generated that's necessary to confirm the selection. Afterward, such a pleasure to see that my texts and imessages are on all my devices - much easier to send texts from a full keyboard BTW.
