Preventive Maintenance on your Mac Fresh from Washington Apple Pi Monthly Meeting yesterday - these available on Ustream at http://www.ustream.tv/channel/wap-general-meeting - when did you last run Disk Utility to check your hard drive? Find it in Apps Utilities folder, choose your internal hard drive, and "verify disk."  Very important to head off disk errors then they can be repaired by Disk Utility.
